#RAAW16 – Day 4 Recap

Recovery Advocacy Action Week 2016 continued Thursday, with planning partners Altarum’s behavioral health twitter chat. A monthly chat that covers a wide swath of topics, Altarum teamed up with Hazelden’s William Cope Moyers to recovery related advocacy issues for the special week. Many joined in on the fun, adding their own answers to the chat’s questions – adding to the wealth of knowledge WCM gave with his own answers.

Robert Ashford, BSW is a man in long-term recovery who advocates for recovery, behavioral health policy, criminal justice reform, and many other social justice issues. He holds a BSW from the University of North Texas, and is currently at University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy and Practice to complete an MSW program. He is a regular contributor to the Huffington Post, Renew Magazine, Addiction Unscripted, and the Hazelden Betty Ford Institute for Recovery Advocacy.
